I am a teacher who has worked with dozens of home educators as well as their families. A lot of new families try to recreate school at home.
Here is the thing, I don't think schools are bad, but schools have a broad mission. The goal of teaching hundreds if not thousands of students. Because of that, schools need a ton of structure and rules.
When educating at home, you are caring for and encouraging a few hearts. You have a very narrow mission. Your goal is to create flexible routines and structures that will flow with what YOUR family needs. In this course, you learn just that.
